Waste Collection and Clearance in Purley

Purley had a population of 15,184 in 2022 and sits 11.5 miles south of Charing Cross, two and a half miles from the Surrey border. It is a straightforward run south down the A23 from our Purley Way base.

The area grew rapidly in the 1920s and 30s, providing spacious homes in a green setting, with Edwardian property concentrated on the Webb Estate. Larger houses mean more rooms, deeper lofts and outbuildings — the volume is genuinely higher than a postcode suggests, so photographs or a room-by-room description get you a far closer quote.

The upside is access: property on that scale generally means a driveway, wider doorways and room to turn a van, so the work itself is usually straightforward once we are there.

North-east Purley runs up into the chalk hill spurs of the North Downs, and the ground rises noticeably. Properties above their road with steps up to the door change the crew size more than the load does, so it is worth mentioning. The A23 Brighton Road and the A22 meet at the Purley Cross gyratory, which is the busiest point in the area.
